Best Keto Chili

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs. Grass-Fed Ground Beef
  • ½ cup white onion
  • 4 – 6 cloves Garlic
  • 2-14 oz. cans diced tomatoes
  • 1-14 oz. can tomato sauce
  • 2 teaspoons cumin
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • ¼ cup coconut aminos
  • 1 teaspoon sweetener I used Golden Monk fruit
  • ½ to 1 oz. 100% unsweetened Bakers Chocolate
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 teaspoons Algae Oil (I used Thrivor olive oil
  • 1-2 teaspoons jalapeño powder or red chili flakes optional

Suggested Toppings:

  • Sour Cream such as Daisy
  • Shredded cheese Such as Smoked Gouda, Sharp cheddar or Colby
  • Sliced green onions
  • Fresh cilantro
  • Fresh Sliced Jalapeño

Instructions

  • In a medium or large-sized pot. Heat the oil over medium-high heat and sauté the onions until translucent.
  • Add in the garlic and sauté until fragrant about 1 min. Then add in your ground beef and brown it along with the onions and garlic.
  • Once the beef is fully cooked add in the rest of the ingredients.
  • There’s no specific order here just get them all in there. Give it a good stir. Lower the heat slightly, cover, and simmer for a minimum of 15 minutes to allow the spices to reconstitute and the flavors to meld together. (See tips)
  • After about 15 minutes of simmering taste it. Add salt and other seasonings accordingly. Continue to simmer for an additional 15 minutes.
  • Serve it up and add your toppings! Enjoy!
